2nd Fox Hunt a success!
The second fox hunt went well as part of the HRRARC fox hunting league. This took place on Thursday 7th May 2009 (starting at 19.30hrs) with three teams participating in total.
The evening started out quite nicely (weather-wise) with blue skies and sunshine, and then it rapidly became overcast and a bit windy. However, I think the wind we encountered might have been due to our location and the areas of open water adjacent to us. The fox was Ian M6YAI and yours truly!
The three teams hunting were Steve G0LCG with Jon G4TSN, Dave G1YAI with Bev G4PYI and Paul G4CMX with Phil M0DLZ.

Unfortunately on the night and in the nick of time, only one team managed to find us and that was Steve and Jon who arrived at a time of 21.11hrs. The points eventually being awarded to Steve (as a team), as was decided on the night.
The other two teams; Dave/Bev and Paul/Phil all came close quarters to finding us but were unfortunately beaten in the end by the clock - 21.30hrs finish time.
The fox was situated at the end of Pastures Lane at Long Eaton (Country Park) – north of the river across from Thrumpton. The spot was excellent and was chosen by Ian M6YAI.

Again thanks to all those who took part.
The fox for the next hunt is Paul G4CMX and Phil M0DLZ following a draw which took place at the club on Friday 8th May.
