Second Fox Hunt of the season was a hit

Hello to you all.

Tonights fox hunt went very well, with four teams out hunting.

I was the fox and found myself at a little country pub in Bagthorpe which was very nice indeed.

The sun shining and the birds twittering; it was very pleasant.

I had little time to find a spot for this hunt and little time for travelling as I should finish work at 7:30 and that is the start time of the hunt, so had to make arrangments to finish a bit early and rush straight off to set up in time for the start of the hunt.

The first transmission was on time but i had not had time to get myself a drink from the pub, so I was counting on someone finding me pretty quickly in order to get me a drink.

My wishes came true as Jon G4TSN acompanied by Micheal M0TSN (Jon's son) arrived at 19:53. Jon had a quick chat but had to move his car to let the car next to me out of the car park.

I thought Jon would return and I could ask him if he would get me a drink from the pub.
However Jon then drove off into the distance, to my complete surprise!

It wasn't until much later that he returns next to the window of my car on foot. He had drove to the next Pub and walked back, so as not to give my position away.

Ahh a drink at last.

The next team in was Paul - G4CMX and Phil - M0DLZ followed closely behind (only one minute behind) by Carl- 2E0CMR with times of 20:17 and 20:18 respecfully.
Jim - G4DZL arrived at 20:58 to complete the hunt.

My apologies go to Jim. As at one point I dropped the mike and inadvertantly chhanged frequency (Up/Down buttons on the mic) and didn't notice for three transmissions. It didn't make any difference to placings as the first three teams had already found me but it would have affected Jim's time, so sorry about that Jim.

A great nights entertainment for all!

Why not pop along to the next hunt and sit in with someone or do the hunt for yourself?

 All the best

Dave - G1YAI
